A member explained to me that it was easy to open and check the Spartan signal system.
    Thanks to him.
My signal didn't stop ... and I had to check a small wheel in contact with the steering wheel.

    I did it.
It seems to work well, I adjusted it and cleaned.

But there is a bulb inside, and no light. I put a new one, because this was was not in good condition.
    No light.
Then I checked if there was some positive light coming to the bulb. No positive light as it seems.
I don't want to operate more on the Spartan, Better is the ennemy of G 1 Spartan prépa.jpg 3 Spartan ouvert.jpg 4 Spartan nettoyage.jpg 5 Spartan nettoyage 2.jpg ood.

But if you have an idea...

I know that my Jeep had some bad work done with the P.O., no need to do worse.

Images : opening, cleaning, checking... This Spartan is is very good product and idea.

The spartan indicator light needs a ground. It originally depended on grounding through the steering column. I put a small gauge ground wire on that phillips screw that holds the light bracket and run the wire down the and connect it to the dash.

I tested to find a ground, maybe I got a wrong one. Now I know what happens when I open it, I can do it next time.
Images of happiness. By the way, some political people are older than me (71) I don't understand why they go on working! Life is so nice

If you are looking for a ground wire in the turn-signal assembly, there is none. The switch only passes 12V or 6V DC. For the ground for the indicator light it uses the switch housing grounded to the steering column. The steering column is then grounded to the tub and frame. I don't like to scrape the paint on the column for a good ground so I install the small ground wire for the internal light as said above.

Yes I understand that it is better not to scrap the paint of the steering column.
I will manage to create something nice to have a return from the turn signals! Soon!(y)
It is so nice to drive the Jeep in hot weather, when sun is down, betewwen the fields smelling corn! Life is nice.:kumbaya:
