Price today is $24.09
Just picked one up a few minutes ago
Izzat the Echlin brand lynn?
Yep. Thought I'd post the number here so it is available for anyone doing a search in the future
Does that work on 2GC rochester ?
Are 2G and 2GC the same?
I need to find rebuild kit for 2GC rochester.
stamp number on carb 7041186.
Yes your carb takes the same kit
It is also available at AutoZone under GP Sorensen part number 96-142B.
Price around me is 11.99. Just bought one for my Jeepster and my boat (Mercruiser uses the same carb) just last year.
Forgive me, but is that the carb that is on an F-head? If so I will rebuild my carb while I am at it. Thanks!
Carb on f head is the Carter YF or Solex if it has been relpaced
Now I see these Part numbers.
Are these all the same?
These rebuild kit from 2 different place they both are for rochester 2g but, why is the gaskets different? and some parts also....like accelerator pump.
I found another Rochester 2G Carburetor Rebuild Kit from Quadrajetpart.com
This one is from NAPA Part number CRB 25748
Consensus is, and I have to agree, that in this case it's well worth spending the extra on the Napa/Echlin kit. Much better quality than others.
NAPA kit is cheaper
not that matters much...
Question/Concern I just go done rebuilding my carburetor and it ran AWESOME for exactly one day. Then went right back to stumbling off the line and when shifting into 2nd and 3rd. I am so disappointed I can't even tell you and at a loss of where to go and what to do. It's idling great and once you get going at higher RPM's? I read that the new gas with ethanol in it, which is pretty much all of the gas we can buy now, could possibly eat away the rubber inside the accelerator pump? All the above leads me to believe that I've got the timing set where it needs to be and it's got to be fuel related.
By the way the NAPA rebuild kit was exactly the one I bought.
Does any one have the NAPA part number for a float in a 2gc?
