Wrapped up the shackles. Got these on in the nick of time as I was able to put the Jeep back in the garage before the snow today. Got about 8" at my house. Pressed on the bearing cones onto the ARB yesterday. Start test fitting it tomorrow...............after I get back from skiing. Ha Ha

    Hey John,
The shackles look great! Was up skiing last weekend with my kids and family....it was looking pretty sad. Nice thing was not too many people. Have a great day playing in the snow.

Last week the snow was getting pretty bad. Too much like Spring. Today was great. 4" of powder over the groomed runs. Only downside was, it was 21 deg when we went up the first chairlift. Much more snow on the way tonight.

Thinking maybe I should start another thread for the ARB install. Any opinions out there? This thread is getting pretty long, although, technically, this install is still part of the overall build.

Depending on how it is titled, a new thread will make searching out the ARB install quite easy.

Sounds like a good idea, then link to the new thread in this one.

    John,

I'm curious about those motor mounts. Are those for a Buick V6 application or from something else? They look similar to a SBC mount I have. You've got me wondering if it will bolt up to my Buick V6.

    Thanks.

Those are V6 mounts from Novak Conversions. Might interchange with SBC mounts, I don't know.

Yep, center to center on the axles. Or you can measure from the front of the rear axle tube to the front of the front axle tube, it'll be the same. That's probably easier if you are measuring by yourself.

Right on. I am curious to what it is now. I think I remember measureing 90" but its been a while back and i never wrote it down. Sure it sounded like a retorical question but studying california insurance for 4 hours prior to jeep talk will turn your brain to mush haha.

Yes sir. I got a phone call from a company called American Income Life which is a private insurance company which services the Unions of California. Some how they got my resume and liked what they read and called me in and offered me a Life Agent position. For the past month I have been studying and testing on the California Insurance Code to become certified through the state to conduct the business of Insurance.

Hey John did you make your own steering box brace? The mounting point on the passenger side looks a lot beefier than the ones I've seen online
