Got the jeep back on the road, can't get the OD to shift into overdrive. All I have is direct. When I try to shift out of direct, I can fell the indention for direct, but I never feel the one for OD. The jeep appears to have just direct and neutral.

The only thing I have come up with is the shift rod doesn't have enough clearance for the rod since I shortened it about 4-5"

The square lock and the snapring were installed correctly on the bench. I had Herm talk me through the install.

guess the first thing to do would be to make sure the OD is okay
disconnect the linkage and shift it into OD
if that checks okay, then it would have to be the linkage and/or the "angle of the dangle" ?

By shortining the rod that much, the throw is decreased alot and you would have no way to move the lever forward enough to get it into OD.

When it did my tranny (Again), I used a different T-90 case. The "new" case is molded differently than the old one. The linkage between the lever and the OD rubs on the x-fer / tranny bolt connection.

I would recommend doing as Jim mentioned above... more than likely, you just don't have the throw needed to move the "pin" out far enough to engage.
