I looked it up and it fits Toyota Land Cruiser 1969-1974
Well, we're back... updates will be coming as I continue to make silly mods to this Jeep. Oh yeah, and we got a trailer.
In case anyone wondered why the hiatus from here with the Jeep, it's really because I was just driving it. This has been my daily driver and I have put 22k miles on it over the past few years and run a lot of trails with it. As you can imagine, that causes some significant wear on a Jeep like this and now it's time to come back on here where I can document fixing it all. I broke down and bought a second vehicle, so I can take some time to wrap up some bigger prjects on the Jeep.
I'm pretty proud of the fact that I am wearing through the steel pedals, haha.
Not wasting any time: out comes the electrical and it's time to rewire.
Awesome build! Just read through the whole thing.
I spent far too long trying to figure out where to put these gauges so that they were hidden from view.
The back of the glove box it is. I like it.
Jeep is rewired now, just need some tubing and grommets to cover/protect the wires. All water resistant marine fittings and I got rid of all the random grounding points throughout the Jeep. Everything is grounded on one of four grounded bus bars on the Jeep. Keeps things much cleaner.
I think I found why my transfer case suddenly started popping out of gear... Not really sure how that happened.
Also got the adapters to put the Willys rims on the trailer... fits much better.
Do you have any info on that pedal pivot? Looks like an aftermarket unit.
I dont have a second one to compare to so I wouldn't know.... I always assumed it was an original piece.
Made a canvas radio cover today... will waterproof it tomorrow. Very happy with the way this one turned out.
If you want a knob for the channel selector let me know.
Continuing the trend... made a tire cover... more coming as I gear up for an upcoming trip
More big changes in the works today... hard top modifications on the way...
More canvas work happening... canvas panels for the hardtop are getting done. After they are done I be repainting the hardtop and replacing the rear oval windows.
Are going to to try and cut in side windows?
Looks good so far.
Wow! I had a similar thought with my hard top as well. Nicely done!
I don't have any plans of making side windows. I never really use them. In fair weather the panels will be rolled up anyway so visibility won't be an issue.
