For the 4.3L Chevy? Is it much bigger then the points style distributer? The fact I can't find one for my motor for under $250 is holding me back from doing a motor install. If it is not much bigger then the points style setup I will just put in my evenfire points distributer and remember to have a few inches of clearance.

    Need more info
Is it fuel injected or carbed?
The EFI 4.3's Distrubutor is about the same size as a points distrubutor.

Well it is for the 3.8 but I figured it would just be easier to say 4.3L chevy since the last time I discussed this motor it took about 4 pages before everyone realized it was not the dauntless.

I got mine from a junk yard for $75.00. It's a pre computer semi evenfire one from a 79' 229 Chevy.

Been trying, nobody has any around here. I might have to hit up the local U-pull it but I really don't want to walk around in mud this time of year.

    I JUST installed a Proform HEI on my brother's '74 CJ5 304.
Two thumbs up for this unit!!!!!
We picked it up from Summit Racing.
Brand New, Made In The USA and comes with EVERYTHING (including brass terminal cap and rotor and great coil), ready-to-bolt-in including a fantastic timing curve.
The curve brought his old 304 to life.

If this link doesn't work, cut and paste it....it's to the Proform HEI for your 4.3:
    http://store.summitracing.com/defau...rch&DDS=1&N=115&target=egnsearch.asp&x=32&y=5
Total delivered should be around $195.

    Best of luck!
You can't go wrong with an HEI.

check online or in motor mags for the DUI. they have all kinds of dist. they have them in original points size with seperate high volt coil for space. check em out before you buy something, they might be worth the time spent.
