    Hmmnn halfbreed Apache pickup parts..
That makes sense having that strange looking ring gear.
The STD definitely indicates it to be for lower geared (numberically higher) trucks.

Numbers look to be 1 27 93 picture below.

Ring gear looks to be 8-1/2 OD and 5-1/2 ID but it's hard to measure with the ring gear on. Picture below with the full stamping on the ring gear.

I count 20 every time even had a buddy count and he counted 20 as well. Gear ratio is 3.91 from my math 47/12. I do have the pinion for the set too.

Well the ring gear is certainly from 1959.
Jeep never used 3.92 gears, that's a GM ratio.
So yes I certainly agree with Rralphs that its likely from an old Chevy Apache.

Do you happen to know what case bearings are on it ? Either # 25577 or # 25590
Or else can you determine the ID of the case bearing with a calipers ?

I don't have anyway of pulling the bearings off here I would have to drive it over to my dad's shop and pull them there. Also don't have a caliper either, something I should definitely pick up though. From some other research this looks like it is out of a Dana 45 rear end. I'll make a for sale add here and if there is no interest I will list it over at the Chevy truck forum. I just want the 40$ I bought it for back.
