A favorite video---see minute 7:20 for jeep in a box>>>
Batteries not included
I know a guy who knows where there is a warehouse full of them, still in cosmoline.
Send me $200 cash if you want one.
Yes, but mostly in the mind (and those ads in the back of magazines)...
The first photo is a MD JUAN kit that does not include any of the drive train its most likely not more then 5years old. Nothing to do with WWII
Sure about that ?. IIRC that's a fake kit someone put together about 10 years ago just to show what was involved & maybe win some show awards.
Not sure if these are exactly the same, but I did remember seeing these complete kits while looking at replacement tubs...

By Golly, you may be correct.
The MD Juan crates do look a bit different but who knows?
Back of Popular Mechanics back in the day.
Looked at those ads many times back then.
Great Uncle put jeeps together in Europe - they came in crates like the one Tom shows as I've seen pictures of him working on them in France.
He got one shipped home after the war as he knew some guys at the depot... Not sure which base it was 'supposed to go to' in the end, but landed in Eastern Colorado for it's life.
I still want an MD Juan Jeep in a crate, call me nuts. I just think they're cool.
Oh SuRe I wAnT oNe
I think it would be a fun project to put together. When done you would have a MB that you could drive around and not worry too much if you scratch it. It would probably be pricey through since you need a frame and drivetrain plus a kit.
The md jaun kit is just missing the drivetrain, it includes the frame
MD-Juan kit + roxor drivetrain? Hmmm...
Very interesting. Makes it even more attractive. Now to find a flat fender donor Jeep with a no good body...
