    HI Fellah's,
Does anyone know if all case gears are the same, as long as they are for the same gear Ratio ? I'm waiting on a Series 3 Trac-Loc case & was thinking I could gut my Open case & possibly use those as set ups or backups ? It's on a 1975 rear Dana 44, with 3.73 gears.
I would do that today, as long as my Ranger's start scoring some goal at home
    Thanks,
    Richie-------Lockman

Parts book says open side gears are not interchangeable with TracLok side gears. No idea if they are similar enough to use for setup parts. Suspect they are really different.

I thought you used the old bearings for setup parts, not the side gears.

    Thanks Tim,
I should have stressed the " Back-Up " part. That's all moot now. Thanks for your quick reply on this , you saved me some needless work.
