Cowl Reinforcements.

Classic enterprises sell a long (complete) version or a short version of a cowl support. I bought the long ones for $20.00 less than the short version. He says he sells more short ones than the long ones because no one wants to remove the full length support, usually just cut the foot off and replace from there, at least I will have the choice if I choose to remove the whole support. After removing the bottom 6” of support I notice a little more rust behind the support than I want to ignore, on the backside of the front 1/4 near where the Jeep logo is, that stuff hides everywhere on these Jeep’s. My question here is has anyone had the pleasure of locating every single one of these spot welds and cutting them out to remove the whole thing or did you just replace the bottom foot? If so what was your experience, I envision it being a total PITA, mine weren’t too bad to begin with but while I’m in here. I have an excellent spot weld cutter, regardless I’m still concerned that it may tear up the quarters getting them out.
