So after the lift went on I’ve realized that the stock shock mounts are too short for my new shocks which means they’ll bottom out on the shocks before the bump stop. I’ve got a desert trip coming up so I don’t have the time to figure out and weld on new towers so I am just going to space out the bump stops for the time being. My question is, what should I use to space it? Washers? A flat plate of metal? Poly?

    Thanks for your help

I found some bump stop extensions for mine. Sky Jacker. Like these. But after lifting etc I found that the bump stops were not hitting . The arc of the suspension made it miss at the top. So I added a piece of 1-1/2" angle by welding. Then repositioned the extension to hit.

Yeah I saw that. That would be ideal but I just don’t have the cash for that at the moment

I'd use a piece of rectangular steel tube between the bump stop and the frame. This is just to keep the shock or shock pins from breaking if you accidentally bottom the suspension on some unexpected dirt road whoop-de-doos or whatever. I would expect low-speed bottoming when you stuff the wheel crawling over ledge or similar won't break anything.
