    used ebrake cables?

is it ok to use used cables? I would think so but I wanted your guys opinion of this. mine are missing from the drum to the front, the PO removed them I am guessing due to corrosion. new replacement is pretty expensive, I would rather go for a used set of useable condition for now and get new later. what do you guys think?

the Jeep p/n was 999980; left and right same cable; should be 67" long ea
both would have come up to a bracket and equalizer; then the control cable would pull on them from there
I don't think used would be a problem; as long as the length is correct and the ends are good
you can get slack adjusters still I believe to take the slack out if too long

EDIT::::oops: I described 1973 with foot operated system
1972 might be hand operated which means one long 1 piece cable for the ebrake at the wheels
    which do you have?

Yes. A pedal to the left of the clutch pedal, with a release cable above it.
