Got part of the suspension in... all leafs are on, front shocks are on. rear ubolts (suppled from BDS) dont fit with the stock shock plate and after drilling it to enlarge the whole to fit BDS Ubolt, I dont like how it sits. So im waiting for them to be unbackordered then I will finish.

It seems most lift companies just throw random u bolts in thrir kits for the CJs cuz they never seen to fit right. I just upgraded mine to 5/8" u bolts and 3/8" thick spring plates from ruff stuff. Welded on a long grade 8 bolt to the spring plate for lower shock mounts. Definitely a lot stronger than the factory 7/16 u bolts

A bit over a week ago took the f134 to get hottanked and machined and just got it back. Decided to go ahead and start the painting process to prevent any rust or corrosion. So far im liking it. Engine will be going into an all black engine bay and entire engine wont be all the same color. (other than valve cover etc everything else will be black)

Well, the last two weekends hasnt had much engine work (due to wind) but got the rear brakes serviced, and spacers put on to match the front and new hard lines ran. We also got the Oil pan cleaned and painted as well as the oil filler neck and some other parts. If you look back to some of the previous photos you can see how much sludge was really in the pan and how thick it was.

Looks like good progress so far, keep it up! What are your plans for the body? I like the patina the way it is, but it's your ride.

honestly the original idea was just to do a smoothed out raptor liner (i dont like the heavy texture finishes) since this will be used offroad and i dont want to get bummed out after the first scratch lol

    QUESTION:
so upon putting in the crank, the rear main seal was very different from the OEM. I had purchased the KaiserWillys engine overhaul kit and i think the part number for the rear main was Part # 800099, anyone have any feedback on these?

I've never heard of anyone regretting an overdrive.

I have heard it is difficult to remove the liner to use heat or weld on damaged panels.
I would pull the dents and run it in "faded glory"
