Smittybilt 44801 - Smittybilt Low Back Seats

Have any of you used these model seats? Says they fit early cj's with no drilling. I've always seen nearly all seats fit everything 55+ but need modifications. These read like they are exclusively for early and intermediate cj's.

 

The descriptions I find are all geared toward 55 and newer. Could probably be fabbed in pretty easily though

 

I bought one about 4 months ago. As advertised, no drilling. A little thicker than the original.

 

Good to know. I have some new bestop seat covers I'd still use to cover them, but it's good to know there are simple replacements available to replace my cracked hard vinyl ones. Thanks

 

I installed a set last year. The passenger seat fit right in on the factory frame. I can't attest to the driver's side, as I moved the gas tank, did the fender notch, and fabbed an angle iron frame for it. I think they're good seats for the $.

 

Got my seats today but I will have to use some strap steel to get them to mount.

 

Has anybody used Corbeau Baja seats?

 

+1, I had to do this with the pass. seat but not the drivers. Other than that i have'nt got any gripes, been sittin' on mine for almost 5 years now.
