Guys, I am replacing the PCV filters and hoses on my 74 I6. I am having trouble finding info on what this part is:
It goes on the brake booster on one end and to the manifold on the other end.

The best i can come up with is it is a "spectre filter"? Not sure. Thanks for your help.

It's a one-way valve so the booster will hold vacuum....

Brake vacuum check valve. Commonly found in the "Help!" section of most FLAPS. Has nothing to do with the PCV system and doesn't need to be replaced unless it's bad (you should only be able to suck air through it in one direction, the booster side).

Actually, you should be able to pull air from the manifold side. If you can suck air through it from the booster side, it's no good.

For a $2 part? Maybe if I'm already in the yard looking for other parts. Otherwise I'd stop by FLAPS on my way home from work.

Yep it cost $5 to get into my yards so at that point I am already losing money on a used part.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered a new one now that I know what it is. Its a cheap part and I am going through the engine now so might as well take care of it.
