BAD new leaf springs. With Pics :(

    AFAIK, neither Crown or Omix actually manufacture anything.

    Even at 20 years old my stock springs didn't look like that. Looks like these are "pre-broken in" springs. :)

    OK,

    This story does have a happy ending.....

    The HD springs arrived and were installed. The CJ has a perfect stance now and rides VERY VERY well. This even fixed the steering problem I was having earlier. The wheel tracks back and the ride in the front is no longer too soft making the CJ WAAAYYYY less squirly on the highway. I'm really happy with how it is performing at this point. I have a deer hunt coming up in about 1.5 weeks....that should be a good test run for her.

    Once again, the parts were a pain, but Morris was easy to work with and took care of the returns with minimal hassle.

    Glad to hear! Let us know how it goes after you have some time on them. Leaf springs have a break in period and can soften up or sag slightly once broken in.

    How did the leaf springs fair? Still in use?
