Still working on my 73 CJ. Almost done with lighting. I ordered my new speedo cluster and other gauges, and have run all of the wiring in my EZ Wire Kit. However, I did not have the light sockets for the instruments because the previous owner had no gauges! no speedo, no volt only 1 unlit fuel gauge. Anyway....
I found this part on the NAPA site Part Number: ECH LS6500
Does anyone know if it will work? Or have a suggestion for an alternative?

    Thanks Lee.

I think I am going to order a couple of those from NAPA. I called the store today and they said the fittings DO reference for a 73 CJ5. I figure a couple bucks can't hurt.

Something to be aware when buying sockets is the one (I think) socket that is unique on the instrument cluster. The Amp or charge socket does not use the frame ground like the other sockets. It's isolated from ground and is wired in series with the regulator. Regular sockets won't work in the charge lamp position. I have no idea where you would find a replacement. I was lucky when I replaced my instrument cluster that I found that socket rolling around on the floor under the seats. Here's picture from the parts manual showing the difference from the other sockets. Good luck on your restoration.
