Question, i just purchased 2" skyjacker leaf springs all the way around my 1970 cj5. i just wanted to make sure before i install them that i am going to get 2" more lift. i just wanted to make sure that the stock springs don't come standard with 2" springs and all i am really doing is replacing the stock springs, because if that is the case i need to return them and get 3" to 4" springs to get the lift i am looking for.

    feed back would be great

    Thanks, Dave

How much lift you get depends on the condition of your stock springs. I gained 4" in front and 3 1/2" in back when I installed my Skyjacker 2 1/2" springs..

    Hey Patrick,
I did take that into consideration on how bad the stock springs have sagged. If the picture of the off white rig with the tan top next to your name is the jeep you installed the 21/2" lift on it is exactly the hight i am looking for. You can see what i have now in my picture next to my name.

Yep, 2 1/2" springs, and 2" longer (1" lift) shackles.

Yep. My old springs were really sagged out so I got way more than 2" with my skyjacker soft rides.

I did some quick measuring last night and it looks like i will be getting close to 4" of lift just like you guys did. After you guys put your new springs on did you have to install a drop pitmen arm or shim your back axle because of the additional high or did everything work out ok. And if there was anything else you had to do to accommodate the lift can you give me a heads up.

    thanks, Dave

Remember they will settle in a little after some use.
