Rim help needed

    Well I have been searching for 16x7" rims that have the stock appearance. I contacted Stockton Wheel they could but my centers in a different outer but no new complete wheel was available (my centers are usable but not perfect). The Omix-ADA rims they claim are 16x6 are really 16x4.5" operantly they don't know how to measure a rim ( this is unbelievable to me).

    So does anyone know where to get a 4 slot 16x7" rim 5 on 5 1/2 with 3.25 to 3.75" back spacing. or know of a stock application in this size?

    In 1976 there was a tire strike causing Ford to adjust what they installed on their F100 pickups. My dad bought one and it came with 16 inch tube type tires. I don't know the width of the rim or tire size - I just remember the 16" rims. These rims looked like the factory steel rims on the Ford truck except for the diameter. Hope this is helpful.

    Factory Ford rims will be the right bolt pattern, but the center hole will be too small for a Jeep. I think you'd be better off with 15" rims...

    For this jeep I will be running tall skinny tires iether 235/85 r16 or 7.50-16 the only tire in a 15" rim ( that i know of) close to this any more is a BFG all-terrain 33x9.5r15 Are their any others? I am looking for a Mud type tread. something like this, http://www.city-tire.com/productdetail.htm?productId=5697157 or KM

    Interco Super Swamper Narrow comes in a 34X9.5X15 a 34X9X16 too I believe.

    As far as I know, BFG discontinued the 33X9.50 several years back; I believe when the 33X10.50 came out

    Most of the tires you'll find in a 235/85R16 (or similar sizes) will be light truck tires (that's the tire size on my F250). That'll be a very heavy sidewall to run on a lightweight Jeep.

    so are the 7.50-16 Original WW2 power wagon tires but for this application they will be fine.

    I am building a resto-mod old school wheeler, Trying to use all parts that were available from the mid to late 1950's Thats why I am keeping the F head, a t-98 4 speed the dana 27 and Using power locs etc. I have been running well built trail jeeps for the last 15 years. When I got back in a bone stock 50s jeep I had forgotten how much fun they were. Trails I would get bored walking through in 2 wd in a build jeep got some challenge back to them in a Vintage jeep. So thats why I am looking into stuff thats Not the best available by todays standards.
