Can someone tell me what tools will be needed to replace the seals
on the knuckles? The driver side has prostate trouble.{it dribbles a little
after a good hot run} There is a small leak showing up on the lock-out hub and I think some oil has got to the brake surface also.
    Thank you very much...:?

Box end wrench or socket, 1/2" I think. Just unbolt the two retainer plates on the back side of the knuckle and pull off old seal. New seal needs to be slit to go on, usually put the slit up near the top. Make sure knuckle casting is clean and smooth so you don't tear new seal.

I assume it comes from the knuckle. That is what is suppose to be in it
according to the spec,s. Maybe the "pudding" will work but rather use
the gear oil so I know all the bearings are lubed.

I'm going to replace those seals this morning in my 66. I think the gear oil its leaking comes from your differential, down the axle and out the knuckle. Mine is leaking in the same spot. The shop manual says to make the slits on the top of the seals and make sure the slits on both seals line up. Should be pretty easy.
