solid motor mounts

    can i do solid motor mount with a 2 in t case drop???

    Only if your angles are absolutely perfect and you have absolutely no frame flex which isn't gonna happen. Why would you want to? Rubber or polyurethane mounts allow so
    E give for flex, absorb vibrations, and generally allow for better longevity if the engine (less engine block flex) and absorb vibrations and harshness between the engine and chassis

    i seen first hand why not to do solid mounts. a guy was mud running and hit a big hole and totally broke his bell housing in half the trans(what was left) and transfer case kept spinning smashing into the underside of the truck. never seen anything like it before. needless to say that guy was scared to death when that happened. there was no give and when the frame flexed the bell housing was the fuse.
