I have a 67 Jeepster with the same V6 and might have a voltage regulator issue. Looks like this is a heck of a win to get a stronger alternator and rid myself of the external regulator which is getting hard to find anyway.

Does the ignition wire that went into the regulator and there is another wire going into the dash bundle go to the two small connector on the Delco alternator? Is that all there is to the conversion? (obviously the batt wire goes on the post with nut) Seems a little too simple..........hope that's all there is because I love this idea!

The Motorola in my 68 died with less than 10k on the Jeep back in 71 and even then, there was no reason I could see to replace it with another turd. A 63A SI 10 Delco went on it and it is still on it.

If you have a good battery so there is some buffer, a 63A will work with a winch. 100A is better, but even that will not keep up with a winch pulling 400 to 500A. Short of maybe a Leece Neville, no common alternator is going to put out that kind of amperage.
