Heck, you don't have to restore it if you don't want to. I'd buy it and drive it. Tuxes are scarce, but they aren't Duesenbergs.

$2500 is not much for any running car ... to me this Jeep is very fairly priced already.

From the ID # it shows build date May 65. That would make it a 65 model.

If you haven't already, buy it. I might be willing to take that winch off your hands if you don't want it. Help recoup some of the cost.

Grab it!!!! tuxes are rare and the body and frame look good.. rust and seats can be replaced. shoot, grab it, if you dont want to mess with it, I bet you could get more for it on resale.

well guys, don't think i am going to get it, if it were 1500 or cheaper, i would for sure. and i f i were a jeep addict as all you, i would most likely already be wrenching on it!!

it is in lake county, just east of Blue Lakes on hwy 20.

here is the owner's phone number; 707-235-1963 his name is Mike. (he authorized me to list his number here)

again i have no affiliation, just hope (as a car guy) it goes to a good home.

good luck to whomever gets it, i would love to see the build thread!!

Outstanding! Thanks for the heads-up. I'm sure it will find a great home if a member from here can get it. Why so far away.....

I contacted the owner and said I would give him his $2500 for it. He then stated he was thinking more like $3000 for it. I said let me know at $2500 and he said he would by the end of yesterday. I heard nothing from him. I tried calling him twice since and he won't return my calls.

Don't know what is going on.

Sleez, you took the red pill (not your fault), but it sounds like you may have the Jeep addiction. I see a Jeep in your future.

I think the guy is now seeing his Jeep as uber rare, too bad. It needs some TLC to be a nice example of a Tux. $2.5K is about what it is worth any more is a premium.

Although it does have the uber rare dash rifle rack. R)R)

If it had a V6, I'd think of paying more than $2,500.00.
