    Hey Guys.

Installing my engine after i renovated it - i few parts broke.

I have a hard time finding the parts again - maybe it is because i dont know what the name is for the parts. Hope you can help.

First thing is a oil sensor that is going into the engine. I look at rock auto, but i can not find the part.

Sesond thing have something to do with vacuum i believe. There are three hoses connected to this one. It is located on the right side of the engine, mounted in the bottom of the block

Normally a nylon tube like that is for an aftermarket manual oil pressure gauge.

The second picture is a thermal vacuum switch. What year? I've probably got a couple of good used ones around here somewhere.

The first pic is of the nylon oil pressure tube that goes to the oil pressure guage.
A new brass fitting normally comes with a new guage. The fitting by itself is a 1/8 NPT to 1/8 compression fitting. It may be a challenge to find in Europe.

There was an oil pressure switch in that hole originally that would turn the oil light in the speedometer on or off. That switch is readily available still.

The second pic is of a thermal vacuum switch. Depending on your vehicles level of emisson control, there may have been none, one, or two, in the two threaded holes on the drivers side of the block. The front one would have been used to supply vacuum to the EGR valve after the engine warmed up.
The rear one would have controlled the distributor vacuum advance. Its job was to not allow vacuum advance until the engine warmed up.

The valves are still available here through NAPA in the $40 range. One is green and the other yellow.

You really can do without either one as they tend to compromise driveability for the sake of "legally acceptable" emissions during the "cold drive-away" portion of the warmup process.

I bought both valves to try to restore mine. I hooked up the EGR circuit and got it through emission testing but the crude system hurt warm drivability and I unhooked the EGR afterward and it runs like a champ. I run 91 octane in it to stop any pinging at higher RPM.

I never found the vacuum relay that would have completed the plumbing to the rear vacuum valve for the vacuum advance so that has remained un-hooked up.
I just run the advance straight to the carb for now.

Either of those holes on the drivers side can be used to install a mechanical water temperature sender that would come with a new water temp guage.

I am running both an oil light and a mechanical guage

    The year is a 1975, its a CJ5 with a 3,8 litre I6 engine.

I always buy my parts in the US, because i can not get anything here in europe. Only tuning parts and stuff like that.

Is there any chance that one of you guys could point me to the correct parts on a US webshop, so i can get it ordered?

    Thanks

    THanks for the links.

I only have a gauge in my jeep wich measures oil pressure, so i need the connector that goes into the block and maybe the hose Could you be so kind to find this aswell?

Here is a picture of how it was before i destroyed the connector. It cracked when i took it out of the engine.

Actually I'm replacing my oil pressure gauge nylon tube with this braided steel kit. The length I need for my 73 4.2L is 36", probably same for yours. I'm changing to this stronger one since I had a plastic/nylon version break on me in the past and oil was pumped into the CJ floor....not nice.

Import the picture to PowerPoint or Paint. Use the tools there to make the circles, arrows, text, whatever. Save as a new picture. Host the picture on your website (here www.xxxx.dk) or on Photobucket or similar sites and give a link to it.
