New ARB covers have bolts which are either torx or allen head. There are 6 points to each recessed bolt. Does it matter which one to use? The have to be torqued to spec. I have some torx sockets, but if I need to, I can get some Allen head sockets.

Yup those are socket head bolts sometimes called "Allen" head. They are different than Torx and do not interchange. If you use the torch sockets on them you may round them out. Get the right tool or you will regret it later when you try to remove them.... By the way, all torx are metric

Remember....there are SAE AND Metric Allen wrenches.....I would recommend the Ball Head variety for close quarters work and the non ball head for torquing. 3/8" & 1/2" drive socket varieties offer best overall torque measuring abilities.

57cj5, On my ARB covers, the supplied bolts were all 3/16" to long. Grind down the lead end of threads as necessary. I do not recommend ARB'b suggestion of drilling & tapping deeper.
