I posted a breif discription of this trans a while back, and ran across these photos today of it. pics are actually of the floor board replacment, but hope you can make the trans out well enough. Will get more close up pics of it soon and post.
    About the trans.
    Its a 4spd.
reverse is to the left and up, next to 1st gear.
    all aluminum case, side shifted
believe the trans and 327 motor came out of a 67,68 camarro
has Advance adapter to the t-case.
this is the first time I've tried to upload pics, so I hope it works.

what do you guys think it is???

yeah, sorta sounds like it. i'm going to write down some of the specs and crawl under it and see. Thanks for the site and your input. Only thing I am puzzled with is that this jeep is the lowest geared jeep I have ever driven, but it does have 4.88 gears.
even in od at 40 to 50 it just seems low. looking at the ratios for the t-10, they not exactly off road friendly but with the gearing im feeling when driving it. I think it will do awsome off road. missing badly right now so as soon as I can REALLY drive I'll let you know how it is.
    Thanks again.

It's either a Muncie M series (M-20, M-21, etc.) or a T-10. Pics are too fuzzy for me to tell for sure but it looks like the Muncie.

I looked at that site earlier, found out I have the M21 model. (at least the case is). my casting number is P9A16B, the B indicates the M21.
He indicates that the M22 gears are cut straight and the trany is loud. Mine howls like crazy, VERY loud, and winny. I wonder if someone put M22 gear set in the M21 case. I have been in jeeps with t-18's and they are nothing like this thing. I am going to take the side cover off and take a look at them just out of curiosity. At least I know now what I have. thanks again

I am running the M21, nothing like the old RC22, noise wise.
