What is special about the 75 CJ5?

    Thanks for the picture, Tim. I think we were talking about the same thing, just using different terms. I was calling the whole section in the picture the tranny hump. When you said floor, I took it to be the sections between the hump and rocker panels. Thanks for the clarification. :)

    I definately agree with Tim's post. I like the 75 because its plain jane, no frills very utilitarian and has great axles. You will find as Tim said that many parts will work just fine even thought the cataloges and part stores may not list them for the 75. I just replaced my seats with new Rugged Ridge models and was concerned that it said they were for 76 and newer CJ's but the fit my 75 perfectly.

    I have been able to find most parts for my 75.. Most of the time I need to do some sort of modification. Sometimes a guy needs to do some resdearch on compatability from 76 up parts.. My latest project involves my brake MC and booster.. I built my own bumpers and spare carrier, installed Corbeau seats [ had to fab bracket adapters], installed rocker protection[ yes I had to do some modding], etc...
