I don't believe so. If your tank is the same as mine, the two tubes on the drivers side connect to that canister gizmo( I forget the name right now) that is in rear driver side wheel well. That canister gizmo is connected to the charcoal canister which should be located on the driver side firewall. The purpose was to reduce emissions by recirculating fumes. I believe the fuel return was a later design of this same type of system. I'm sure somebody else can either confirm this or give you correct information. Hope this helped. :flag:

My 75 has got two metal tubes coming out of the feul gauge on the tank, but one is pinched close.
So, mine has got only one feul line running straight to the feulpump.
Mine also doesn't have any charcoal cannister or smog equipment, so it might not be original.

TSM says all Jeeps from 1975 have a fuel return, except the 232 and 258 CJ.

The vapor recovery lines are different from a fuel return line. A fuel return line needs a fuel filter with three nipples, and has a 1/4" steel line that connects from the third nipple on the fuel filter and goes back to the top of the fuel sending unit, and drains back to the tank.

I had to look it up, because my CJ-6 has a return line ... but it's a V8.
