Does anyone have any experience with changing the tips on the rockers on the 225?

I have the early Buick 225 with the rockers on arms, and one of the tips looks like it needs to be replaced. The pushrod on this rocker was also worn strangely, so I think that something abrasive got between the two and started the wear.

So I have new pushrods and see that TA Performance has tips for about $4 each. They appear that they push in and out.

Do they require a press? Is this an at home job, or does it require machine shop tools?

    Any help is appreciated.

All you need is a small punch and a block of wood. There is a small hole on top of the rocker tip. The tip just pushes out. It's a press fit. The problem comes when you try to find replacements. I haven't been able to find any, so I carried mine to the machine shop and had them resurfaced. If anyone find replacements, please email me and post the source to the forum.

    Thanks,
