I have searched but didn't really see anything. My F-134 will start up and run at idle just fine, but once I start to go in reverse or first gear it starts to move and then the engine dies. Not sure what is wrong even if I give it gas it still dies but idle is good.

will it rev up with the clutch in? Will it move at all or are the wheels stationary when it dies. When was the last time it ran right?

Need a little more info to help out

It has been about a month. It does rev up in idle as I idle and it moves but only a few feet then it will die.

When Posing a Quest such as yours, we need a little more historical background/Symptoms to assess and hopefully be able to assist in properly diagnosing and correcting your jeeps "attitude"

    First
    -Have you any service manuals?
-Is your vehicle stock motor, electrical (distributor/starter/alternator or generator), and carb?
-Are you mechanically inclined? (you'd be surprised:coffee:)
-When was the last time you started and ran the jeep under load?
-Has it been parked for a long time static?
    -HOW OLD IS THE GAS?!?!
-Any symptoms persist that existed prior?

This is an abbreviated troubleshoot taken from my manual given your brief description.
    c. Engine Starts but will not run.
    (1) Service the air cleaner-Check, Clean or replace as necessary
    (2) Fuel Delivery- Check for Fuel flow to your carb with Gas cap on tight and off on your fuel tank.
    (3) Remove spark plugs, Inspect and Clean the plugs and set gap to spec. Replace out plugs that are cracked or excessively burnt
    (4) Check wire and insulation for cracks, breaks, burn. Confirm all plug-wires are well seated and in contact upon the distributor cap and corresponding spark plugs.
    (5) Remove the distributor cover
and cap assembly. Inspect the rotor to make certain it is properly installed, Inspect the cap for damage or unusual oxidation. Replace cap if necessary
    (6) Check Breaker and adjust the breaker point set. Check point set for signs of unusual burning or pitting. Replace
    if necessary.
    (7) Remove one spark plug cable and hold cable
terminal one-quart of inch from cylinder head while crank-
ing the engine with starter. Check for weak spark.

AUX: (7) Check for vacuum leak at base of carb or ? >via Vacuum Gauge followed by Propane enrichment test
    (8) Check compression of all cylinders Dry and Wet.
Evaluate each Cylinder compression for poor or uneven readings.

Let us know what you find.:coffee:

One but I looked and didn't see anything about my issue in it. Everything is stock excepted the coil is new and a flamethrower had to replace it when old one went bad and person before removed ballast resistor. It has been a while since it was under load. But it was running fine then one day this happened so it has been static for little over a month. I have started it and let it idle time to time though. Gas is a few months old but has stabli fuel in it since I filled it up. I am mechanically inclined was aircraft mechanic in AF.

As for the other stuff as soon as it stops snowing I will clean air cleaner. The wires, plugs, rotor, and distributor cap are all new. Thank you for your help.
