corner guards, smooth steel, 73 cj6.... where?

    I have seen that warror product with no cutouts at quadratec for my 73 cj5

    doc... are you suggesting i go with the full quarters and trim back to where i want?

    mix in my labor, and the cost of the 'cloaks... i might as well get some stock bend them around a phone pole and beat them to match..

    part of me like the metalcloak offerings (especially the overline fronts), but on the right rig...

    not sure if a cj6 is the right rig...

    place cut panel on corner with c clamps bend little by little adding c clamps as you go [​IMG]
    till it turns out looking something like this I just used diamond plate

    take your time and it will come out nice

    I had mine bent at a local metal fab. For $60. I think they are 3/16 thick and heavy.

    did they cut them as well, or did you do the trimming to fit the corners, cutouts, etc..?

    I cut them with a cut off wheel and trimmed to fit. Stainless bolts are sunk slightly into the steel. It was tough to get them tight to the body.
