Did the 69 CJ's come with windshield washer? I have two holes between the windshield and the hood, (one drivers side and one passenger side) that looks like they were for a the washer nozzles.

Does anyone have any pictures of the nozzels and where can I find them?(nozzels, pump and all)

The nozzle actually fits in the center of the cowl between the hood and w/s. I can probably get a pic of the Daughter's '70 tonight. Not sure about '69 but the '67 I parted doesn't have one

My dad's 69 (and my 70) has a single nozzle in the center of the cowl as nickmil described. The fluid is in a bag mounted to the left inner fenderwell and the knob on the dash activates a hand pump. 1 tug on the handle=1 squirt of fluid. Kinda primitive, but it beats stopping to rub snow on the windshield, or looking for a puddle to splash water up on the windshield!

I'll try and get one tomorrow. I've been getting home after dark and I couldn't get a decent pic. Sorry. :(

Yep, that one looks right...I've got the original from the '71 laying on the workbench somewhere, just like that (with black overspray  )

    Thanks for the picture. :)

I don't know what the two holes on each side of the cowl (one in front of the driver and one in front on the passenger) are for they must have been added by someone..huh?

I think I do have a hole in the center of the cowl for one like in the pix.

BTW, lynn, I love the speedometer clocks!!!!:D

I just checked my cowl, I don't have a hole in the center of it. Only the two holes as I said before, I'll post a pix of it to my album soon. And maybe yall will have some idea of what I need.:?:?:?

Here's pix of my cowl with no center hole for washer nozzle, but with two holes on each side.

What type nozzle do I need?

Have yall seem this type before?

Sam I haven't seen that type of hole pattern for washers on a CJ.
I suggest you simply obtain a likely looking dual-squirt candidate from the hood of any late-model car or Jeep and retrofit the system to your rig. Maybe just fill the small hole with a screw or bolt.

Unless you're intent on doing a restoration to original...

If I had to guess, I'd say those holes were for a hi-lift jack mounted on the cowl. My second guess would be fog lights, because of the small holes to the rear that could have been used for the wires.

look up at the cowl from the inside and see if the po did not fill in the original hole.
if there was no center nozzle then probably your 69 could actually be a 68 or maybe a canadain built cj as i cannot recall ever seeing one with all rhe up dates.
    lynn's advise is spot on.

    That's the setup I've seen on my '69 and a friend's '68.
