Are you planning to cut and spline the shafts yourself or having a shop do it?
Easy way is to just call Herm the Overdrive Guy. He has the parts for an FF conversion.

I'll be cutting the shafts and splines myself. I have all of the stuff to do the shafts, as I do custom axles for local guys on the side. I'm upgrading to 30 spline inners and using a set of older 60 full float shafts that I have laying aroungs for the donors. Not looking to spend any cash on this project. It's a flat fender buggy project project that I'm slowly working on building for my daughters. I'm trying to put it together for little to no money (so far I'm doing pretty well as I have nothing in it so far and most of the major parts are accumulated).

    Ah, I understand now.
If no one else speaks up with the dimensions I’ll pull my shafts and measure them for you. I’ve got to do some disassembling anyway and it won’t be very far out of my way to pull the shafts while I’ve got it apart.

Ralphs - I think you have the same problem I had. What was happening was, while under constant load, the Warn Hub engagement gears will slowly ratchet themselves apart, overcoming the kinna weak spring pushing them together. I say the load has to be reasonably constant, like on a long up hill freeway on-ramp. If you ever let up on the gas, the sprint would immediately push the gears back together and nobody is the wiser. I think it was nickmil who suggested a solution and, since it seem to fix it, I assume my description above is what was really going on.

The solution was to go to your local home hardware store and get that 3/4" metal strapping used in home construction. Ya know, that stuff with all the holes down the middle. Now, take your Warn Hubs apart and find that %$#ing spring that pushes the engagement gears together, cut off about 2" of hardware tape and roll it so it fits inside the spring. I think you may have to trim the tape to clear some shapes on the pushed surface. Reassemble the hubs and play with them for awhile to understand how the hubs work. The hardware tape will totally defeat the easy operation of the Warn Hubs, you'll have to rock the vehicle back and forth to engage and disengage the hubs but, the big bang problem will be gone.

It seems to me that Parts Mike said that FF on Jeeps don't work well is becuause of axle tube flex. Just what I have read,

Yea, I’ve beat on mine pretty hard too.
It’s taking the abuse from a conservatively guesstimated 300 horse V-8 and aside from shaking the hub bolts loose I’ve had very few problems with the rear.
Front axle is a different matter though. I’ve been through just about every part imaginable, except for axle shafts, at one time or another.
