    Put on a oil filter relocation kit today. No more radiator problems.

    Trans-Dapt. Filter is a Wix 51068. They have dual filter ones too. That might be nice for a 401.:v6:

    Yes, if you have some disposable income or a birthday coming up, you do need one. It has coolness factor and looks to be an easy bolt-on. Git one.

    nice and clean install. I need to do this just so I can drain the oil somewhere other than onto my axle.

    I put a smallish plastic drain bucket on the axle, under the filter when I change it...No mess..:)

    I wondered if it was a clearence issue to the front diff.
    Back in '71 I put a 198 V6 in a MB. As I remember, the oil pump plate on it angled down at a steeper angle to the filter, the filter would hit the front diff on compression of the front end.
    I like your set up, may have do it on my Jeeps.

    New cover was clocked directly into the lower radiator hose.
