odd ball renegade 1

    I have a renegade 1 build date june 70 title for 71 it has the gas tank in the back with tailgate

    it purple with code 999 and trime package 340

    vin 8305017365814

    The tub feels like it should be a renegade 1 but i know the orginal owner and never had the tub swap everything on it is original. Did the 71s have the gas tanks in the back

    But has all the packages for an r1

    Yes. And the R1's had tailgates, too.

    I also have a 70 Renegade 1 titled a 71 but it was built in Sept. Are you sure it was built in June, that seems a little early to give it a 71 title. My vin # 8305017 367426

    As it's frequently pointed out, it's still possible it was sold after Sept. of 1970. I suppose that practice might still have been in place this late...
