On a search I found alot of people trying to figure out how and having issues like me. If yall have time will you post links to your successful builds especially the ones using a turbo 350/350 in a cj5. I have the tranny already fresh rebuilt not totally set on a 350 motor, but I have alot more parts for one and they are cheap to rebuild. Please tell me what you did and what transfer case and axle yall are using. Also is there a smaller transfer case to use that will make it easier. I want to stick with the 350/350 combo, but will change the engine if I just have too. Also how much of a lift would hurt or help. I am going to attempt to squeeze this into a 1968 cj5 and I am down to the frame now. Any ideas are welcome-

    Thanks:?

I know lots of guys running 350/350 with a spicer 18 transfer in Willys 2A's, 3B's and early CJ5's
Its doable and can work great if it is setup correctly!

I have a 283 in my 57 CJ5 with the Dana 18 T-case and T90A tranny. I did a power steering conversion. It is a tight fit with the 283 and a PS conversion. I put an electric fan and a 3 core 69 camaro radiator. I have seen a SBC 350 in an early CJ5. It will be tight and some fabrication will need to be done. I would recommend block hugger headers and routing the exhaust to open out the back (a little quieter and no exhaust in the face). Why the Turbo 350 and not a 420 or 465?
