    Here is my before pic

Here is after as of right now, in all its primer glory. The body is just sitting on the frame. I mocked everything up in preperation for paint.

Looks great! What color are you painting it?

That right rear corner is actually painted the color. It's slightly off because it's just a thin coat over black primer. It's called light khaki metallic. It went on some jeeps in the last couple of years.

I just sprayed superliner bed liner matched to that color this week on the body. It turned out great! I did the whole bottom, floors up to the top edge, and bottom fender wells. I had to play around with it untill I got the hang of the texture. I started with an $100 Iwata and ended up with a $20 Harbor Freight wall texture gun. My dad has a Studebaker Weasel from WW2 he's redoing and we bedlined the tracks to get practice for doing the jeep. If anyone has a good air compressor that will put out a constant 90psi, you can do it....and color matched. I'll put up some pics later

    mdmeltdown,

What size tires and rims((15X8?) are those? That's a nice looking combination.

  10. Well, it's not a CJ5, but I'm sure you guys can appreciate my build, considering what I started with . . .

Just to keep your CJ5 juices flowing, here's the 74 CJ5 that was my first car in high school - still regret trading it in on a car, it had the 304V8, wish I knew what had happened to it - anybody know if they bought a 74 CJ5 that came from Southwest Arkansas in 1989?

My Dad's Jeep that I grew up in, & coincidentally, the back seat from it is now in my CJ2A:

Last, but not least, is an all-original Renegade that is my grandfather's, waiting patiently in line to inherit - the only thing ever replaced is the top & the tires, everything else is still there, bone stock!

I also had a new '97 TJ Wrangler a few weeks after they hit the market in '96:

So as I keep telling my sweet bride, I come by my Jeep obsession honestly - Jeeps are all I've ever known!

Long&low; yea, they are 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic II's on 31x10.5 BFG AT's. I was worried about how it would look because I didn't want them to be too much over the stock setup; I just wanted something other than the boring stock steel wheel and a tad wider. There's not much selection with the 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern, but the wheels were only $110/wheel, they barely stick out away from the body (<1/2"), and I think they look great

Me too, I like the combination. While I'm a huge fan of Swampers as an off road tire, I really like the BFG AT for a good multi purpose tire. Good on road in ice and snow, good on dry and wet pavement, and adequate off road.

1954 willys has come a long way found in collapsed barn in 2002
took 3 days to dig it out between all the debris that were sitting all over it ,in it ,around it and digging almost 3 ft of mud it was buried in
built a 134 f head for it than changed my mind and went with a 4.3/sm465/dana 18 its still a long way from finished but slowly coming along
