Can'not seem to find new ring & pinion for dana 27 with lower gearing than 4.27. Anyone have any idea on where I can get one with 4.88 gearing? Thank you for your help.

4:88's are hard to come by. I keep my eyes open in the classifieds on this board and bought one from Nickmil. Maybe post a WTB?

Unfortunately, Randy's R&P has not been help with anything less than 4.27. They indicated that anything lower is no longer being built for the D27.

Yup - I picked mine up at a jeep salvage place - put a couple extra on the shelves while I was at it.

Might try some of the vendors in the where to buy sticky at the top. One of the recyclers may have some. R&P, Hermtheoverdriveguy, Partsmike, etc. I'd put a WTB in the classifieds here first though. If that doesn't work willystech.com may be another option for a classifieds ad.
