    V6: 3.73 with the option of 4.88's

I think that all 4 cylinders were 5.38's

    My '70 V6 had 3.73.

Changed to 4.10 when I put in the lockers. Almost wish I had went with the 4.27 . . . .

My 5 has 4.27s, sticking 5.38s in it soon.
Eric is the tag not on the diff cover?
Its easy to figure out the ratio.

    I understood that V6 was 3.73 with 4.88 optional, and F4 4.27 with 5.38 optional, at least by 1970.

Erik, go with an Sm420 with granny gear then you have an awesome crawl ratio but can still run 70mph if you want with no engine strain.

if you have not changed the OD shift position since you post your pictures last winter of your under carriage it will be engaged, i.e. in OD

if your turning about 2300 rmp at 60 mph with 33 inch tires you have 4.88 for your differentials. i turn about 2700 rpm at 65 with 31 inch tires that measure 29 3/4 iches high.
