I bought a CJ 6 a few years ago and this is the dash that was in it. Does anyone have an idea what this Jeep may have been used for. It came from Arizona.

That looks to be a M38A1 dash, or some one wanted it to be.
And do you have hinges at the bottom of the grill mount in front of the radiator?
Do you remember if it had a big round divit in the passenger side between the front wheelwell and the main body?

Looks like some one was using it as a portable power source for some thing.
Was the bed cut out or any thing?
maybe space back there for a large (small) generator motor?

Could a been one of the power supply jeeps that a lot of airports used for a while.:hurrican::coffee:

That's not an M38A1 dash. The glove box on the right side wouldn't be there. Also, the gauge cluster would be on a removable panel in the center.

Looks typical for a late 60s - 71 dash to me. Some extra holes, and the aluminum panel was added. An extra heater control panel...

The Dzus screws on the radiator shroud lead me to say it hung out near the military or aviation types as I don't recall ever seeing them elsewhere. The Air Force (America's premiere paramilitary group) has few tactical vehicles, they purchase off the shelf TMP type vehicles. It coulda been a huffer somewhere, then got tossed in the PDO system (now DRMO).
