I plan to restore my 65 Tux and I am trying to find the generator part number for my Jeep. Anyone know what it is?

Usually the voltage regulator and generator are matched. The regulator is factory adjusted to max controlled output of the generator. Maybe the reg number can help you determine what gen you need.

I've never needed the part number. I drop the old generator atop the parts counter and they return with a "new" one.

Do get a new regulator while you're at it.

I forgot to mention that for this stuff, I go to an automotive generator/alternator repair place. The typical parts store would only know how to drop a generator on their foot.

Hey old man, can you enlighten me on what a TDC Indicator looks like? I may know it by another name, but this one I don't know.
