    Im surprised..
I think its all rather cheap and doesnt fit together well..

The tabs on the sender dont match the socket tabs on the tanks and
the lock ring (if you can really call it that) is held in place with scrap metal and screws.

Am i missing something? was I expecting too much?

My MTS uses the screw on sender, so I can't comment on that. The tank is very sturdy, and fits very well. It's been in there for 6 years without any problems.

Can't speak to the tabs issue but I did have a few problems both with MTS and 4wd hardware, where I ordered it. I'm not too impressed either for the cost of these things. I called MTS directly to solve my issues. They had the wrong gasket taped to the tank. I didn't realize it until I received the sending unit which was also incorrect.

thats why I got rid of mine, I thought it was not built very well. but others like them now , I think I had one of the first ones out . and the neck was poorly plastic welded on.

I think it's plenty strong, the neck flange is massive and the tank is probably safer than a metal tank. I just think they aren't the most organized company to work with. I too have the screw down style sending unit and found it tightened down very well. The cl of the holes on the tank compared to the cl on the sending unit were off slightly +/_ 1mm approx but it seemed to help pull the su tight to the tank without stripping the holes in the tank. The holes are also purposely not spaced equally on both the tank and the su so the float is in the position they determined to be best. I think they could have spaced the holes equally and slotted the su flange and bossed the tank for easier assembly, so I agree the build quality is a bit off of what I'd expect from a $250+ tank. They great thing about the tank is that it's insulating qualities will help deter condensation inside the tank and prevent the su from rusting (their claim). I don't plan to drive my CJ daily so that is why I decided with plastic. I also figured it was my only option since I wasn't aware of this site at the time. Seems like Patrick has no complaints with his from what I've read so we'll see.

i will try and take some pics..
needless to say I am calling Monday for a return and will most likely go the way some people here have and fabricate a return inlet on a screw down sending unit..
I will also prob go with a metal tank..
