Welcome. A lot of information here is readily available by just searching the forum. If you have a specific question, someone here will be able to help for sure. Also be sure to post your location and some pics for encouragement. You may find a wrenching buddy close by.

Fuel mileage - IF it's running well you should be getting at least twice that kind of mileage. My Jeepster (when it was my daily driver) got between 15-20 MPG in the summer and a little less in the winter. Is your rig auto trans or stick? Stock height? Axle ratio?

Auto/Manual Choke - Later Jeepsters had auto choke carbs. I've also heard of people using 70's era 2 barrel rochesters from chevy inline 6's and of course buick v6's. As far as 4 barrel conversions are concerned, search the early 5 section of the forum. There are several threads on just that topic.

Disc Brakes - Search is your friend. Tons of information on Chevy caliper Jeep rotor conversions. There are also a couple of vendors offering a complete conversion that will fit behind stock wheels.

Half Cab! - If you find the answer to that one let me know! I've been looking for years. They're out there, depending on your location. Every time I've found one it was too far away or too rusted to bother with.
