The motor is the ONLY thing I haven't touched. I've only driven it 2 or 3 times before I started the rebuild and almost put it in the ditch because I couldn't control the power on a dirt road. I think the PO started with the motor and lost interest in the build, it sounds like it might have a mild rv cam in it. Can't wait to get this thing on the road!!!

Just so everyone knows........Those humps in the rear are the front fenders, had to lay them there so the Eastman Power Liner could finish hardening up. That stuff is great! I wont ever pay to have rhino lining done again!!!! Don't tell rhino I said that!!!!!

What about the Renegade stripe on the fenders and hood?
Some better pics of the eastwood liner would be great. Is it smooth or rough?

I kinda like that color. For some reason, it matches the HP of the engine.

It's a spray on. The gun is included in the kit for 179 bucks plus shipping. Has the same look and texture of the rhino lining in my truck bed! I have a picture of the hood on the photo bucket page. I'll try to attach it now. The hood is still taped up. I have a strip that I missed that I have to redo tomorrow along with the tailgate.

2manytoys, Do you have any pics of those stripes? I'll attach a pic of the hood, it has the best view of the liner.
uboatcmdr, I ordered it from Eastwood (not Eastman, sorry) along with the paint and powder coating gun I'm trying out. It is a spray on system that is textured just like the other name brand liners. I paid 179 plus shipping for the liner.

Okay, I finished the hood today and started on the tailgate. I think I may have over done the power lining on the tailgate. I'm thinkin I should have left the Jeep letters green with the black background. Oh well, too late now. The reason for doing around the letters is this tailgate was a freeby and had some cancer and rust holes around the letters that I mig'd up. I'm not a good body person so I decided to cover it up with the Power lining. If you look close you can still see some of the boogered holes I tried to fill with the liner. What do Ya'll think?

I'm probably gonna do just that.....I think green will be okay. At least I was able to hide the gobbled up welds and grind marks around the letters!!!!

Okay, I have to make another correction, the power liner came from POR15! Attached are the photos of the system and I completed the back of the tailgate and the rollbar.

    Sorry for the mess up.

    Updated progress today..................
One question though..............does everyone think that lights on the rear are in the right place? They look funny. It may be the aftermarket taillights. I'm thinkin of swappin em out for the more original round ones. Any thoughts?
