Here's a photo of my wheel dollies I made.

They're very simple, each dolly is two pieces of 3/4" plywood, 12"x24", glued and screwed together into a 1-1/2" platform, with 3" swivel casters and two 12" 2"x4" pieces for wheel chocks. I'm pretty anal, so I put lots of screws in them, but they're quite strong and you probably don't need as many as I used.

They work just fine, but probably not as good as the expensive ones in the auto parts catalogs. I used cheapie old used casters from old furniture dollies, and they don't roll the greatest, but I can turn the JEEP around in my garage, or shove it back into the corner all I want. If you wanted to score 16 new casters, I'm sure they'd work much better. You can get hard rubber wheels with bearings in them, but a set of those will cost almost as much as the good dollies do.

Thanks all! I hope somebody makes some, they work pretty good. Yeah, the tub is in great shape, the JEEP was stored for 30 years. And the garage doesn't normally look like that, I had to shovel crap outta the way for an hour to take the photo. ;) Needs to be about 6 times bigger too.

Great idea, Ron. I'm not good with wood. I think square tubing will do?

Build 'em out of whatever you want, I was just tossing the idea out there. These aren't fancy by any means, doesn't take any woodworking skills, because I sure as hell don't have any.

Hello Ron. How have those dollies held up? Do you still have photos of them?
