Finally just got in a set of half doors for my jeep; bought 'em from A.E. Miller Manuf. They are the ones that make the gloveboxes, etc. Guess I should feel lucky since I bought the last set they have on hand. They are supposed to fit all the hardware from a Bestop. I'm planning on painting them the same color as the body

So, they will make more? They fit Supertop hinges? How much? Sorry for all the Q's.

    http://www.qualitycraftcorp.com/aem/products.htm

They were $289.....kind of steep, but then, there isn't exactly any competition

Looks like they took it off their website. It was under "looking for new Jeep Product"

I originally asked about them a year ago. I talked to the owner and he said he didn't really sell many. I got around to buying a set last month and....long story short, they said their computer showed one set on hand, but then they couldn't find them, then they did, then they wanted a check before they shipped, wouldn't take credit card; check cleared and they neglected to ship for 2 weeks....blah, blah, blah. Sounds like a small company with a cash flow problem.

Anyway, the doors are definately well made, and they are supposed to fit the door hinges and striker from a Supertop....they don't look home made in other words. I think they could sell a set to every one on this forum, if they were a good price and they actually marketed them. I think the problem is, they never really marketed them.(you can't sell something if no one knows about it) You can buy a glovebox or heater pleunum made by them from every 4x4 cataloge, but they don't show all that other cool stuff. I'm thinking about buying one of those windshield dashes from them next

They said they only really pushed them on Ebay several years ago and even then they only got one or two calls a year about them. Like I said, Marketing, Marketing, Marketing.

Anyway, if you buy something from them, be patient, because they said they are only set up to sell to distributors like 4wd.com, Tellico, etc....Whatever that means. A customer is a customer in my book, but I will say they are very friendly

Oh, and I bet if you called them, it would put pressure on them to make more. In the plastic world, it seems like the material itself is easy, its the molds that are expensive

Actually there are others. Warrior products makes steel half doors for the earlys. Their price is not much more. An order clerk took these photos off the line for me. These doors aren't completed yet.

Those are cool. I guess you have to like diamond plate though. Are they going to have an inside panel? I wonder if they can make some out of flat sheet metal?

My interest is definitely piqued.....like you guys said, hard to sell something when nobody knows about it. If that was in any of the "standard" catalogs, they would have sold.

Anything they make can be diamond plate, polished or black and flat steel unpainted or powdercoated black. Don't know about the inside panel, I was inquiring about the top edge (to see if I could mate up Supertop uppers).:v6:

Those aren't steel. That's aluminum. Steel would be way too heavy anyway.

Those look like they mate up with the supertop hinges. I've heard you can call Bestop directly for parts

I just bought one of those $75 (ouch) heater plenums. Seems really thin for that kind of money. Glad you're happier with the quality of your doors.

I see you got your tub on. Any problems with holes lining up (brake, clutch, column, trans. cover)? I'm jealous. Your JEEP logo is right and in the right place.

Yea, that tub is a long story and it's still growing. No, the holes didn't line up that Willy's Overland Cut. Long story short, I figured out that if I lined up the holes in the front part of the body and discounted the rear 4 along the back, it worked. When I went to mark a drill new holes for the back, I saw where they were already marked underneath, just not drilled. I wrote a long Email to Jay at Willy's Overland and his response was, "oh, yea, sorry, we didn't drill those holes on purpose because jeeps, depending on the year, had slightly different hole locations." My thought was, if that is the case, why the hell didn't he just put one more sentence in this paperwork that says, "line up the holes in the front first, then drill out the rear 4."

The saga continues now because the pedal holes in the floor aren't lining up either. I haven't figured out if it's because of the v6 version differences or THEY don't know what they are doing. I paid an extra $300 for them to drill the holes for the floor and move a couple braces. Right now, I figure, 30% of what I paid extra for is not right. It does seem to be square on the body and I guess it's still worth it......I'm just frustrated at this point. I probably need to write up a post on here of what to expect from an MD Juan body and moreover what to expect from a "replitub" With that said, once I'm done fixing all the Phillipino crap engineering, the jeep will look good, it's just annoying
