Looking at mine, I'm not sure you could actually damage that tank, short of a saw blade or drill bit.

well ,like I said ,I didn't like it .maybe i had an older model , tank was fine and I loved that it will not get pin holes of rust ,just I did not like the neck to tank, looked like the neck was not glued on there well enough for me .

thanks pat ,a sealed gas cap is next on the list ,

Mine isn't glued on. It's molded as part of the tank.

Right along the same lines I have questions on a tank installation. I have a 68 CJ5 with under the seat 10 gallon tank. I picked up a 15 gallon tank from an 84 CJ7. I got the fill lines, fill bezel, and skid plate. I know I'll have to remove the "A" frame from the rear frame and cut out for the fill hoses to install:?:?. What other challenges will I face with respect to fuel line, return line , and sending unit?

Where can I get a sending unit for my under seat tank? I have a V6 with the locking ring type sender.

I guess I will. Are the senders they sell now a days good quality or chinese junk that won't work more than a year?

Don't know. I put a NAPA branded universal in mine about 12 years ago and it's still working.
