Ok, I rebuilt my Carb on my 71 CJ5 with a Rochester 2G. It runs pretty good but is hard to start. If I pour a little gas in the carb it will start right up. It still hesitate's when I first give it gas from idle. Could this be float adjustment?

I would think accelerator pump problem. With engine off, look down inside carb and pump the throttle (eye protection advised).
Should see two good streams of fuel...if not, problem.
I suppose the float could be stuck in the up position as well, but that wouldn't let any fuel at all into the fuel bowl, unless the needle/seat are malfunctioning.

I put a new accelerator pump in when I rebuilt the carb. maybe its not adjusted right. Its says to bend the linkage. More or less though?

Did you put the check ball back in the bottom of the pump well?

the accelerator pump streams should flow for the entire stroke of the throttle linkage
you don't have to go fast with the stroke, just steady one time
    good flow from both ?

Make sure the accelerator pump is assembled correctly. I've put one together incorrectly and had the same problem you are having. I think I switched the springs around by accident.

Ok I think I figured it out. The spring going to the butterfly on the choke wasnt hooked up, so it wasnt closing when the choke was on. It started this morning with it being only 17 degrees out. Now if only the heater would warm it up in there
