Wiring harness recommendations

    Hey gang, I am geting near the time that I will need to begin the task of rewiring my 62 cj5. Now, I think I would rather hit myself in the face with a hammer... but I decided I would at least try to accomplish the entire build myself.
    Soooo, any recommendations on premade wiring hareness that are not as expensive as the Painless. Not really in a position to pay 500 bucks.

    EZ Wiring has some for$135 +15 S&H on e-bay. I have one coming, but haven't seen it yet.

    EZ-wire is probably the best one out there for the price. I bought mine around 10 years ago.

    I have the standard 12 circuit unit and it gives you plenty of circuits for add ons.

    Just did an easy wiring harness from ebay! WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT! helpful on the phone and online and very very easy to install and work with. Here is one helpful hint... lay it out on the floor in the garage and look through each bundle of wires... pull the ones out you dont neeed and bundle them together and under the dash. use them for accesories later... i have my fog/spot lights on the a/c fuse and wire etc

    Iam needing the same the painless is pricey my67 i took out all the old cobbled wire and need to start new does the easywire do a complete re wire?? 67 cj with a 225 v6.

    Put a Painless in my 75, great product. I just bought a ez wire for my 79, saved 300.00!! Haven't started it yet but looks pretty good.

    I went the ezwire route as well. I bought the 21 circuit. thought it was overkill at the time but have used up most of the circuits......plan ahead what your end build will be before you order :beer:

    I used an original, uncut, '67 harness and added a fuse block. I have mech gauges, full road legal lights and wipers with circuits left over. Cost me all of $13.99. If I had to go new, EZ Wire looks like the one.

    I installed a Painle$$ back in '95. Prior to that, the biggest electrical job I had done was install a radio :shock: I started by removing and discarding every existing wire in the tub and chassis. Clean slate :shock:
    Worse yet, I was installing this harness on a glass tub, had to make all my grounds. I also soldered every connector.
    It all worked great, first time. :D Only required one call for tech support ;)
    If I was doing it today, I'd go for the EZ.

    I got the 21 circuit EZ wire harness also (best one for the price). Good kit, but I have to give a major thumbs down to their tech support. I have called a total of 3 times and the person I spoke with was extremely rude and abrasive. Other than that, the kit is great and an easy install.
