Going Commando Build

Well heres the new ride if you havnt seen the pics yet...





So I swung by Franks today and welded the spiders for the 14bolt so I could install the 4.10s for it..




Then started setting the gears up..




Heres a pic of the front D60 (behind the fan under all the drop cords, in front of the carpet cleaner ) thats going to go in...

Nice lookin' ride. I love those old jeepsters. And the Pickups. And the cjs. And the waggoneers . The only jeep I have ever seen that I didn't want were the YJs and the FCs. I think it's a disease.............

 

Looking at your pics again. what is the story with the rims? Those wheel covers?

They are a weld on bead lock kit.

 

Nice KORE locks, so whats the scoop for the rest of the drive train?

Hello D60...

 

Ummm it is even going to fit onto the trailer with that Dana 60? Lugs look to be way out there.

 

Those are the dually hubs, I still have to put the single wheel hubs on. It will bring the lugs in almost 5"

got a little bit more done..one srw hub installed. Had to grind the calipers to clear the 15" wheels...what a pia. Hopefully have time to do the driver side one evening this week.

Looks good.

 

Finished up the hub swapping in the front, got the brakes hooked up/bled out and fluids added. Still need to put the rear shocks on. Also retubed the rear dshaft, and heres a high quality pic to show
